“Attic” peers into the abyss within. The endless void at the heart of man. Life is the canvas; we are the stain, the smudge, the accident. “Attic” reflects the inescapable solitude we carry. We are the true darkness of this world“.

Greek (based in Athens) melodic / technical death metallers Black Path are releasing “Attic“, the third single / visualizer video from the upcoming album “Of Paint and Ash“(release on June 20th), heavily inspired by the story of Slave Knight Gael and the Painting Woman of the Dark Souls trilogy’s ending.

Τhe lyric video of “Attic” was produced by Andrea Mantelli Productions.

The single is available to all streaming platforms.

The harp is performed by Maria Malafi and recorded by Yiannis Malafis.

Extra vocals by Iren Engel recorded at 9800 Studio (Athens) by Antonis Kontozoglou.

“Of Paint and Ash” is a deep exploration of internal conflict, weaving together themes of despair, perseverance, and the cyclical nature of human emotion. Drawing inspiration from the haunting atmosphere of the Dark Souls universe, the album journeys through shadowed landscapes, where every step feels heavy with consequence. Yet, amid the darkness, there is a relentless pursuit of meaning, making the struggle itself a reflection of the human experience. Black Path are committed to pushing their sound into deeper, more emotional realms is evident in every track, maintaining a perfect balance between growth and authenticity.
